Mercurien Platform is able to capture, process and store data in a machine-to-machine (M2M) environment across a highly scalable, flexible and responsive platform for real time analysis, pricing and account billing.
Our initial focus is on the identification and metering of vehicles for intelligent transport including car parking, tolling and insurance. Due to the integrated hardware and software design, the Mercurien Platform enables industries with multi-tenancy assets to transact across those assets at low cost from one back office.

This includes:
1. Web based engineering: the transaction engine has been designed around a Google style approach to systems that are industry scale, transparent and reliable. The engine comprises large parallel processing farms, distributed lock management systems and transactional web server technology.
2. Flexibility in billing and charging models: the transaction engine has been designed around a double entry accounting system and can be configured across multiple event types, assets and jurisdictions that may require different taxes, disbursements and transaction clearing.
3. High standard of transparency in managing transactions: each transaction is intended to be traceable in real time at every step of the chain allowing for credits, reversals and repudiation of charges. This is unlike current systems, where traceability can be a significant challenge.
4. Network Solution - Deployable at low cost: the solution is hosted ‘in the cloud’ and as such can be made available quickly and robustly for multiple customers (Many millions).
